0 Top 10 Tracks of October

Apologies for the late post! But I thought i'd share with you what I thought to be my top 10 picks of the month to roundup a great month of releases!

10.  Steve Angello - Yeah (2012 Edit)
A track that has been in the making for the past 2 years has finally been released, showing Angello move out of his SHM shell and create a track of his own. Giving us the progressive banger that is 'Yeah'.

9. EDX - Touched (Original Mix)
EDX gives us another uplifting track, finding the perfect balance of synth filled goodness and attention to detail, EDX is definitely still an extremely underrated DJ and I hope get the recognition he deserves soon.

8. BT, Arty & Nadia Ali - Must Be The Love (Dannic Remix)
The Revealed Recordings prodigy puts a spin on the ethereal voice of Nadia Ali, making it a more mainroom friendly track and a little harder hitting, personally prefer the original but this is still a great remix and worthy of the top 10 for this month!

7.  Kaskade vs. Kelly Clarkson & Nicky Romero - Angel On My Stronger (Kaskade FON Mashup)
The Freaks Of Nature tour was a big stepping stone for Kaskade, giving him full control of the production and how he wanted things to turn out. With the tour came a great amount of mashups made, this being one of the best ones he's come out with. Check it out!

6. Tiesto ft. Allure - Pair Of Dice (Original Mix)
Another part electro house part progressive monster from the number 2 in the world, starting the track off heavy with some great grinding beats and transitioning the track into a feel good song. Check it out!

5. Chuckie & Junxterjack - Make Some Noise (Original Mix)
Chuckie is out with another Dirty Dutch banger, this time with the up and comer Junxterjack, featuring a bouncy, bass filled track.

4. David Guetta ft. Taped Rai - Just One Last Time (Fareoh Remix)
David Guetta closed with this when I saw him live and although I love the hook of the vocals, Fareoh perfects the track with the drop, resulting in a big room banger!

3. Florence and The Machine - Sweet Nothing (Qulinez Remix)
Qulinez, sgined to Afrojacks Wall Recordings have recently be creating quite the impression over the past year, putting out insane remixes such as 'A Heavy Abacus', this one does not disappoint and definitely deserves the number 3 spot!

2.  Zedd ft Bright Lights - Follow You Down (Original Mix)
Although I see the album as a whole masterpiece, I had to give the number 2 spot to my favorite song amidst all the great tracks, the vocal hook of this song is irresistible. Check it out!

1. Pryda - Everyday (Original Mix)
Everyone who follows this blog will know how much praise I have for Eric Prydz. And this track encapsulate what the producer is all about, a great vocal hook from John Ciafone, big room melodies, not over the top drops and an addicting song overall!

0 Preview: Armin van Buuren & Deadmau5 - ID

Yes, you're reading correctly. Armin van Buuren & Deadmau5 have come together to produce a track! As you can hear from the preview this is legit and is definitely taking place. It came about from Deadmau5 thanking Armin for playing one of his tracks off his new album, and as a result of some people responding to these tweets with suggestions saying that Deadmau5 and Armin should come together for a track, they did just that. You can follow their progress of the ID that they are producing by just looking at their tweets. This is set to be a great production due to both of them being incredible producers and Armin having just picked up the title of best DJ in the world. You can already hear from the preview the contrast between Armin's and Deadmau5's completely different styles of production but the two seem to fit hand in hand with one another and I am greatly looking forward to this release!

0 Clockwork - BBBS (Original Mix)

After hearing this monster of a track on Saturday during Porter Robinson's set at ministry, I realised that it has never been posted on Marx despite having been out for a few months. Clockwork, also known as Henry Steinway, has been producing extremely heavy electro drops for some time now and I feel that BBBS or Big Bad Bassline Sound is his best one yet. 0 Cosmic Gate ft. Emma Hewitt - Calm Down (Original Mix)

Trance will always hold a special place in my heart, its ability to pluck out emotions, and tell stories within a song is unparalleled to any other genre. As much as I love progressive house, there is a certain feeling trance can give you that can't be beaten. This track, out recently from Cosmic Gate just does that, Emma Hewitt's vocals encapsulate the song perfectly, fitting the instrumental so naturally, giving you that hands in the air euphoric feeling that we all love. One of the best songs i've heard in a while!

The SIZE Matters boss has been hard at work, carving a path for himself and differentiating his image from that of a Swedish House Mafia member, focusing a lot on his label. This track is one of the results of the hard work that has been put into the label along with one of the signed artists from England called Third Party, the result of the collaboration is a balanced track showcasing Angello's darker side and Third Party's progressive synth leads, overall an awesome track full of energy. 0 DJ Mag Top 100 Released! (Incl. Pete Tong Essential Selection)

The highly controversial poll that is the DJ mag has released yet another series of rankings of who are the most recognized DJ's in the industry at the moment, with some results being outrageously disappointing while others being well deserved. It also shows a huge trend, that the heavyweights of the past now have less of a presence in peoples minds compared to the new up and comers such as Hardwell and Nicky Romero (who entered the poll at 17). This being the case obviously results in a lot of skewed rankings, Thomas Gold at 82, Netsky at 96 and Bloody Beetroots at 111 to name a few, have all been disappointing and in my opinion, outrageous rankings for these producers and they deserve so much higher.

On the other side of the coin though, there are some accurate standings. Armin finally got put back in his rightful place at number 1, and Avicii, who has been taking this world by storm was put at number 3. Another special mention would have to go to Hardwell, who took the number 6 spot in a well deserved manner from a year of hard work and constant touring.

As I haven't posted some music in a while, here is an insane mixtape of Pete Tong's newest essential selection off BBC radio 1. Enjoy!

0 DEEP HOUSE PACKAGE

Some new deep tracks released recently from Tigerskin, Joris Voorn, Felice and Miguel Campbell. Joris Voorn has taken the hugely well known Swedish House Mafia track, Don't You Worry Child, and made it his own with some familiar Tech beats. Campbell has cleverly combined vocoded rap and bass, wrapping the vocals around the driving bassline. Tigerskin has paired his deep and seductive club stylings with LazarusMan's atypical house vocals. Finally, Felice has taken the hugely popular Niggas In Paris and turned it into a perfect deep track.

0 RELEASE: Dada Life - The Rules of Dada

So today marks the release of the much awaited 'The Rules of Dada' by Dada Life. The extremely weird Swedish electro house duo, consisting of Olle Corneer and Stefan Engblom, have been on tour all summer throwing bananas and spraying champagne across some huge crowds! These two are becoming more popular by the day and the release of this album should just increase that popularity. 'Kick out the Epic Motherfucker' along with some other tracks we have already seen before but the album also brings with it some real gems that we have never heard before. I apologise for some of the DL links being low quality. Its really hard to find decent links with the album yet to be released until tomorrow but I will update this post with better versions as they are released. Have a listen!

0 RELEASE: Pryda - Everyday (Original Mix)

So time and time again, the master of melodies, Eric Prydz contiunes to amaze us by releasing monsters such as this one! I have been waiting months for this track to come out, and its just one of many that he still hasn't released, the rest of the tracks being just as good. Besides John Dahlback, this guy is probably one of the most hard working people in the industry, creating track after track and previewing new ID's on his EPIC podcast. I'm so glad to see that Prydz is finally getting the recognition he so rightfully deserves. Hands down the best track this month, maybe one of the best this year!
