Mike Snow - Pretender (Deniz Koyu Remix)

After his massive remix of Zedd's 'Spectrum', which received huge support from the likes of Swedish House Mafia, the German sensation, Deniz Koyu, is back with his next big electro remix. Taking the track Pretender from the trio Mike Snow's new album, Deniz has utilised the top line with lengthy pads, some amazing melodies and strings. Have a listen!

RELEASE: Sebastian Ingrosso & Tommy Trash - Reload (Original Mix)

This track first circulated when Tommy Trash was playing it in Australia when he wasn't meant to do so, and after that it was known as his collaboration with Swedish House Mafia member, Sebastian Ingrosso. It wasn't until now in which the track has finally surfaced. Taking a more progressive direction to what Trash would be used to, there are still a lot of his high pitched, energy filled synths ever present in the breakdown and drops. This track, for me, is a perfect blend of the two artist's

BANGER ALERT: Fedde Le Grand & Matthew Koma - Sparks (Vicetone Remix)

There are rarely remixes that come along, which are able to completely transform a track to what it originally was, and this track fits the bill. Still keeping the elements of electricity and energy that are present in the original, Vicetone puts a progressive, piano-synth filled spin on it and turns Sparks into a progressive banger. This is one of the best remixes i've heard all year so this is a must download for all of you! Enjoy!

Mansions On The Moon - Satellite (Motm x Deadmau5)

Since there has been so much hype amidst the release of the new Deadmau5 album, I thought I would share with you guys a track that has stood the test of time for me, a vocal by Mansions On The Moon over the instrumental of 'Strobe' by Deadmau5, allowing for a hypnotic vibe throughout the song, definitely one that is never gonna g

Kryder - Scorpio (Original Mix)

After his successful debut on Trice Recordings with the massive tune 'Ultima', Kryder is now back with an even bigger track! Scorpio walks the thin line of progressive and electro house creating an incredible club banger! I've also included another of his recent progressive tracks, taking the legend that is Sting to a whole new level. Definitely keep this guy in your sight as he is headed for the top! Have a listen!

RELEASE: Bon Iver - Perth (Manila Killa's Sunrise Mix)

Quickly becoming a household name on this blog, Chris Gavino AKA Manila Killa will definitely be receiving praise and attention after he released this track. It takes talent to be able to encapsulate emotions within a track, especially as an electronic producer. But he has done exactly just that, and although its different to what we normally hear from him, it's a refreshing sound to have and a vibe no one can really be put off by. The perfect chill/beach/mellow track if you ask me. Have a look for yourself!

Firebeatz & Schella - Dear New York (Original Mix)

After some original productions and remixes, the Firebeatz duo have teamed up with Schella to form this ground shaking collaboration of Dear New York. With some intense reverberating lead synths combined with some pounding kick drums before the massive grinding electro beat, this is a tune that is going to continue to be a massive mainstage banger!

THROWBACK: Bloody Beetroots

The Italian electro house and dance music project The Bloody Beetroots have been producing since early 2006. The DJ Set of the Bloody Beetroots has been on tour only once, alongside Steve Aoki in early 2008, and is made up of Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo and Tommy Tea. It is one of the most crazy and mental live productions I have ever witnessed and their reputation for these sets is growing. Their music is made unique by the metal influence in some of their productions. I am not interested in metal in anyway but these guys combining it with an electro house foundation seem to have found just the right amount of crazy! Have a listen!

RELEASE: Yves V & Felguk - WOW (Original Mix)

BANGER ALERT: Norman Doray & Nervo ft. Cookie - Something To Believe In (Original Mix)

The hottest duo in dance music, along with french superstar Norman Doray, have teamed up to make an awesome big room uplifting track. Nervo this time, surprising a lot of listeners due to the fact that they only contributed toward the instrumental part of the track, leaving the vocals to a singer called Cookie. The result is a great feel good track, check it out!

The Australian group Those Usual Subjects, formed of the three house music DJs Maarcos, Wei - Shen, and  Atridge, were first recognised for their talent in 2007 when they were signed as one of Bob Sinclar's Africanism All-Stars. This particular remix of their track My Heart by Digital Lab, caught my attention at its synthy drop. Have a listen!

EC Twins feat. CeCe Peniston - You've Never Seen (Original Mix)

After being asked by Sandro to join the blog, I thought I would start my first post off with a massive tune in my eyes. The EC Twins duo, living and producing in LA have recently been held responsible for the EDM explosion in the USThis recent collaboration that they have done with CeCe Peniston, who provides the tantalising vocals, truly shows this pair's talent. This banger is definitely going to played out in future weeks. Check it out!!

PREVIEW: Tommy Trash & A- Trak - Tuna Melt

I never thought the day would come where I would see these 2 names on a track, and I have to say... the result... is disappointing.... I hardly ever post negative comments on my blog, but I expected something a lot bigger, although it's still a good track, I feel that this collaboration could have been a lot more epic. Still worth a listen though!

ALBUM RELEASE: Deadmau5 'Insert Album Name Here'

Besides being one of the most genuine guys in the industry, Joel Zimmerman is a true master of his craft. Say what you want about him saying controversial things (he hates DJ'ing as a craft) and speaking out unnecessarily to aggravate people, I think he's just an honest guy. When it comes to his music though, there is no arguing that everything he puts out is absolutely top class. This album shows a diverse range of sounds and even a non-EDM song with Imogen Heap, showcasing what this guy is really capable of. I might go as far as saying that this is his best album yet!

I took the liberty of putting all the album tracks on one DL link for you guys, enjoy!

PREVIEW: Those Usual Suspects & Nordean ft. Erik Hecht - Burn Forever (Michael Brun Remix)

I never usually post previews on this blog unless the anticipation or magnitude of said track is huge, and although this track is still relatively unknown in terms of its fame, I can tell you that this track is going to be an end of the year monster. Michael Brun, a prodigy of Dirty South's Phazing Records has shown everyone time and time again that despite his age, he is one to look out for in the next few years, proving that he is going to be a huge player in the music scene. Erik Hecht's haunting vocals along with the chord progression in the drop just hit those emotional strings perfectly. No release date as of now but be sure to keep a look out for this one.

The classiest act in dance music. Bringing in big names such as Joris Voorn, Nic Fanciulli and Mark Knight. As well as the headliner Fedde Le Grand! Who also headlined cosmic opera not so long ago. If that's not enough to convince you, then have a look at the trailer.

RELEASE: Burns - Lies (Otto Knows Remix)

With his hit Million Voices, still very much present in top DJ's sets. Otto Knows is quickly proving that he has what it takes to be a huge player in the industry. His new release is testament to just this. In a genre where, disappointingly, originality is become less and less common and generic songs continue to come out, Otto Knows sets himself apart with this track. The unique breakdown with the violins would have to be what I think makes this track outshine the recent releases. Definitely one of the best tracks this month.

Monday Morning Motivation (Acoustic Special)

So over this weekend I have been completely obsessed with acoustic covers that people have been doing of EDM tracks. So I decided that this week it would be a great idea to give you guys the EDM song, along with the best acoustic cover that I could find online. For those people that say electronic music isn't actually music, then let these covers prove you wrong.

The last 2 are by a guy called Evan Duffy, and I highly recommend that you subscribe to his youtube channel, his piano covers of EDM tracks are simply amazing, and he promised that once he hits 30,000 subscribers he will do an arrangement of Deadmau5's Strobe! So be sure to check him out if you want more piano goodness

Recovery Sundays

On this chill Sunday I bring you 2 very special tracks that have both been on repeat ever since I got my hands on them, perfect to go with chilling on a Sunday afternoon, contemplating about the weekend and how crazy it got. Check it out!

If you haven't already heard of what trap music is, then it's about time that you got familiar with it, originally a method used in hip hop producing, it has suddenly come into the world of EDM as a new phenomenon. DeVexo puts a great trap spin into the anthem sung by Matthew Koma that is 'Spectrum', bringing it a more chilled vibe, awesome track to chill to.

Zoo Brazil ft. Rasmus Kellerman - There Is Hope (Original Mix)
Wow, a friend showed me this track yesterday and I have to see that i've been hypnotized by it ever since, slightly reminiscent of a very old Deadmau5 song, yet at the same time its a lot more than that and the vocals just simply kill it, hypnotizing you from the beginning to the end. Have a look!

Weekend Package (Cazzette Special)

With my friday night being made a lot better by the swedes known as Cazzette, I decided to make this weekend package dedicated to these 2 DJ's, signed to At Night Management (their only other big artist being Avicii). Here are 2 of my favorite tracks with them that definitely go hard and in my opinion they are ridiculously underrated, check it out and have a look!

Spencer & Hill ft. Nadia Ali - Believe It (Cazzete's Androids Sound Hot Remix)
Nothing can go wrong if you have Nadia Ali on a track.

BANGER ALERT: DJ Fresh ft. RaVaughn - The Feeling (Julian Jordan Remix)

17 year old Julian Jordan shows us why he has been getting so much support from the music industry in this track, fresh of his Beatport hit with Sander Van Doorn 'Kangaroo', Jordan takes a more progressive turn compared to his old productions but still keeps it heavy in the drop, great track and I can't get enough of the melodies in the intro of the song. RELEASE: Digitalism - Zdarlight (Fedde Le Grand & Deniz Koyu Remix)

Zdarlight by Digitalism is a track that I find really important, Digitalism, along with Daft Punk and Moby were the people that got me into this EDM crazed obsession that I now have, and this track was played endless times on repeat a few years go. Deniz Koyu & Fedde Le Grand revamp the classic to meet the demands of the modern electronic music junkie, har hitting synths with big bass, definitely built for festival speakers. Check it out!

RELEASE: Calvin Harris & Nicky Romero - Iron

Calvin Harris goes back to his old vocal style on tracks, along with contributing to the instrumental of the song, in my opinion though, Calvin was a lot more on the vocal side of the track than the instrumental one, you can tell throughout the whole track that the majority of influence was made by Nicky Romero, the heavy synths and wobbl-y sounds are his trademarks. Either way this is a banger of a track and would probably have to be the best release this month!

PREVIEW: Avicii ft. Mike Posner - Stay With You

Someone has finally taken the talent that is Mike Posner, and brought him into EDM. The result, I have to say is great! And although this is only a preview, you can tell that its definitely an Avicii track with all the piano synths associated with his name. Definitely gonna be a huge hit when it comes out and i'm looking forward to hear the release dates, will update this page with more info once I get it!

Top 10 Tracks of August

I apologize for being somewhat late on this post, but better late than never! Here are my top 10 picks for the releases this month.  Overall it's been a sick month for releases, banger after banger.

10. Ivan Gough & Feenixpawl ft. Georgi Kay - In My Mind (Walden Remix)
The only remix I said was up to par to the Axwell remix would be this one, giving it a different vibe but still keeping it happy, at 18 years old Walden has created a timeless remix, this has been looping in my library for ages!

9.  Hardwell & Showtek - How We Do (Original Mix)
Hardstyle producer Showtek and Hardwell collaborated to make one of the bounciest and great songs of the summer, in true Hardwell fashion he has that progressive sound but with some big bass included, although this time you can tell Showtek has peppered his sound way throughout the track, giving it a different element and changing the song for the better.

8.  Zedd ft. Matthew Koma - Spectrum (Deniz Koyu Remix)
Reviving the track is one of the most underrated producers in the scene right now, Deniz Koyu. Keeping intact the anthem abilities that the song has, he changes up the drop to fit his signature sound, similar to the likes of 'Bong' and 'Tung'

7. Paris & Simo vs. Pendulum - The Island vs, Nova (3LAU Mashup)
I never usually post mashups for my top 10 segments but this one is just too good to pass up, 3LAU takes the acapella of The Island and mashes it up with Nova, the new progressive banger by Paris & Simo.

6.  Delerium vs Filo & Peri - The Summer Of Silence (Original Mix)
Another mashup I believe worth posting, trance duo Filo & Peri have completely revamped a classic in order to mould it with the modern taste, and it was hugely successful.

5. Dada Life - Feed The Dada (Original Mix)
Bananas and champagne. That is all.

4. Fareoh & Archie - Feathers (Original Mix)
As a follow up to their huge hit the two have collaborated again to create another progressive banger, with Fareoh's signature uplifting sound with a somewhat dubstep twist at the end included.

3. Nervo and Hook & Sling - Reason (Original Mix)
Nervo always put a good effort in when it comes to their vocal outings like this one, as well as putting a great amount of contribution on the instrumental side, with the up and comers Hook and Sling sounds ever present during the drop.

2. Deniz Koyu - Follow You
Well this is probably one of the most uplifting tracks I have heard this year, and definitely in my top 10, Wynter Gordons vocals fit perfectly with the track and Koyu impresses us again, showing a different side to his productions.

1. Alesso & Dirty South ft. Ruben Haze - City Of Dreams (Original Mix)
I have to say that listening to this track I have put it up there in contention with Don't You Worry Child (Which i can't put on this list yet because it hasn't officially been released), the 2 have made what is going to be one of the biggest anthems year, a banger for sure!

The Spotlight: Danny Avila

This guy, at 18, has played in every big club in Ibiza you can possibly think of, has a North American tour coming up and has already toured europe. Garnering support from the likes of Fedde Le Grand and Hardwell. I can tell you now, having seen Danny live at the Ministry of Sound, it was apparent that he was going to be big. His knowledge of music for an 18 year old guy was mindblowing, playing one of the most diverse sets I have ever heard, as well as digging back to tracks from the 90's/2000's, pretty impressive if you ask me.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that he's the best up and comer (yes, I think he's better than Madeon). If you wanna know more about the youngster, he was also the 2nd best wakeboarder in the world for his age division, and then decided to do it as a hobby to pursue his DJ'ing career. His father was an interior designer for nightclubs in Ibiza, which is how he got into the scene, being let into clubs at 14 he quickly learnt the business and how to DJ. Fedde Le Grand then saw him as somewhat as a prodigy, so he decided to take him under his wing to teach him producing and let him play over his whole European takeover.

I have a lot to say for this guy, and I tell you now it's all for good reason. Check the most recent mix he just made for DJ Mag! The first song of the mix is his unreleased track entitled 'Breaking Your Fall'.

Madeon vs. John Dahlback - The Night Out Life (Castaway's YOLO Reboot)

DJ Castway, A household name both in New York and Manila, has given us an amazing mashup of John Dahlback's Life and Madeon's The Night Out, i'm so surprised on how the melody fits the vocal, and is one of those mashups that makes the track completely different from the extracts taken from each song and is a brand new song in it's own right. For everyone who thinks electronic music is worth their time, this is definitely a must download!

Monday Morning Motivation

The time has come where the week has to start again, and already we're looking forward for the weekend to come.  So here are a few tracks that would help prolong that weekend afterglow and keep us going till the one to come!

Rob Marmot & My Digital Enemy - African Drop (Tom Staar Remix)
A breath of fresh air is what this track is, something unique in the EDM scene, with a huge acid and tribal influence the crossover of both genres into a house track has proven to be really successful, garnering support from the likes of Alesso and Ingrosso.

AN21, Max Vangeli ft. Julie Mcknight - Bombs Over Capitals (Original Mix)
Another track released by the duo before their forthcoming 'People Of The Night' album, a track that is sure to make hands go straight in the air once heard, looking forward to see what more these two, along with Julie Mcknight have to offer in the future.

Derrick May - Strings Of Life (Original Mix)

Sometime during the 80's/90's this gem of a house track was made, and it was one of the most influential songs ever created that would change artists sounds in electronic music forever, the first time the concept of harmonizing and layering with strings and melodies from strings in a house track, this is where it all came from. check it out!

RELEASE: Dragonette - In This City (Madera Remix)
