Apologies for the late post! But it's been a somewhat busy week so have not had the time to post as much as I want to, but without further ado, here are the tracks that caught the most attention for me this past month!
10. Yves V & Felguk - Wow
The Brazilian duo along with the Tomorrowland resident DJ Yves V have blended styles in order to create a huge electro banger, with lengthy breakdowns and a bassline that would destroy any festival speaker, this had to have the number 10 spot.
9. Calvin Harris & Nicky Romero - Iron
Another electro heavy track was the collaboration between 2 giants in the industry, Calvin Harris and Nicky Romero, and although this has a more Romero sound to it, with Calvin probably just lending his voicepipes as to production skills, its a great track to have.
8. Bon Iver - Perth (Manila Killa's Sunrise Mix)
Manila Killa, whom were used to hearing feel good electro house type music from, went a different direction with us, and I can't praise him enough for creating such a well balanced track, while keeping the emotional elements of the original intact.
7. Kaskade feat. Haley - Llove (Dada Life Remix)
Although Dada Life haven't exactly gone for that sausage fattening sound which we've grown accustomed to, this is still a solid track and a banger by anyone's standards, contrasting the vocals with a hugee drop!
6. Fareoh & Archie - Feathers (Original Mix)
The duo come back with a follow up track of their hit '2012' called 'Feathers'. Having that same feel good vibe but this time with a little surprise dubstep segment, check it out!
5. Dirty Vegas, Thomas Sagstad, Sultan & Ned Shepard - Somebody To Love (Third Party Remix)
Third Party have been exploding as of late, having played in Steve Angello's 'Size In The Park', and creating top class releases such as 'Feel'. This track is yet another addition to their ever growing collection of bangers.
4. Fedde Le Grand & Nicky Romero ft. Matthew Koma - Sparks (Vicetone Remix)
I posted this not so long ago and even until now it has been on repeat on my library, I am so shocked that I have never heard of Vicetone before, especially with releases of this caliber, if he's to continue at this rate than he is definitely gonna become very famous, very quickly.
taking the 3rd spot is a unique and fresh sounding track by Otto Knows, the original was actually sampled from a really old house song, Otto Knows puts a great progressive spin to it and is definitely on my Best of 2012 list at the moment.
Recently released, this track is destined to be one of the greatest releases of the year! I just love the blend of styles between the two producers and I feel that they balanced it out perfectly, the high pitched synths on the breakdown are amazing, be sure to check this one out!
Since it was only officially released over September, I can say that easily the most emotional track of the year, as well as one of the biggest would have to be this
